Email upsets staff at the Royal Children's Hospital

The Royal Children's Hospital is considering legal action after a private email discussing a married doctor's affair was sent to a staff mailing list.

The doctor involved sent an email to the husband of the woman he had an affair with, apologising for his actions.

But this was forwarded to the list within the hospital. Sources within the hospital said it went to hundreds of employees.

A spokeswoman for the RCH said the email was sent by someone from outside the hospital.

She said the hospital was considering its options, including legal action against the person who forwarded the email.

"It has the complete disapproval of everyone in the hospital," she said.
