Man loses arm in press
A worker has lost part of his arm after becoming caught in a press machine used to bundle clothing.
Metropolitan Ambulance Service paramedics were called to a factory in Settlement Rd, Thomastown, about 2.30pm yesterday.
They were confronted with a stuck man suffering horrific injuries. Firefighters were called to help extract the injured man.
"A man in his 40s had his arm stuck in a machine, and the machine had consequently amputated his right arm above the elbow," intensive care paramedic Wayne Gardam said.
