Security guard in serious condition after assault

A hotel security guard is in a serious condition in hospital after an alleged assault by three men in Sydney's west.

Police said about 10.30pm (AEDT) yesterday three male patrons allegedly had an altercation with the male security guard at a hotel in Flushcombe Road, Blacktown.

The 47-year-old guard was admitted to Westmead Hospital with severe head injuries.
